A Simple Means of Attaching Buckles to a Paracord Tie by TIAT

In der Kriese vorbereitet sein…So geht’s Richtig!

Book Link: http://tinyurl.com/JDLenzenBooks This week, instead of showing one of my (fusion knotting) designs, I'm demonstrating a relatively simple and generally overlooked means of attaching a side release buckle to a paracord strap or bracelet. Not requiring a jig to complete, the technique is a handy one to know, especially if seeking to make quickly reproducible paracord ties (with buckles). p.s. This same technique can be used to add buckles to most my designs.

[Preview] Ashoka Chakra Knot by TIAT

In der Kriese vorbereitet sein…So geht’s Richtig!

The Ashoka Chakra Knot is another fusion knot, created via a combination of techniques shown in my book (Decorative Fusion Knots) and others shown here, on my YouTube channel. Similar in appearance to one of the 33 edicts depicted on the pillars of King Ashoka (an ancient emperor from India); my hope is that this knot will help round out your knowledge of fusion knots and, more generally, symbolic sacred knots. Coming soon to Tying It All Together.

How to Make a 3-Strand Flat Braid (Adjustable Bracelet) by TIAT

In der Kriese vorbereitet sein…So geht’s Richtig!

Book Link: http://tinyurl.com/JDLenzenBooks After several requests to do so, I'm (finally) returning to my Scrap Box series showing how to work with short or "scrap" lengths of paracord. A troubling challenge, especially for those on the production/sales end of the paracord tying community, short lengths of cord are often left discarded, or worst yet, thrown away. But as my How to Make Paracord Jellyfish Fobs video (utilizing 1 foot lengths of cord) and now this video (utilizing 2 and 3 foot lengths of cord) will show, there's truly no such thing as a "wasted" length of paracord. Quite the contrary, as you'll soon see, with a little design ingenuity, nearly all cords lengths can be successfully used.

How to Tie the Celtic Tree of Life Knot by TIAT

In der Kriese vorbereitet sein…So geht’s Richtig!

The Celtic tree of life symbolizes strength, longevity, and wisdom. It further marks the connection between earth, the spirit and the universe. Often portrayed in illustration, it's rarely if ever shown represented in rope…until now.

How to Make the Triple Wide (Paracord) Zipper Sinnet Bracelet by TIAT

PFT-V2 Book Link: http://tinyurl.com/k6zmzjp The Triple Wide Zipper Sinnet holds a monster level of cord in a quick deployment, two cord, zipper sinnet, design! About two feet (per cord), per 1-inch of strap. A 30-inch long belt would hold nearly two 60-foot long cords (or 120-feet of cord, in total). Also…the technique allows you to make the belt as wide as you'd like it to be. In that, working with two cords, is just as easy as working with three or four or more!

How to Make the „Slatt’s Rescue Belt“ by TIAT

Paracord Fusion Ties – Volume 1: http://www.amazon.com/Paracord-Fusion-Ties-Volume-Bundles/dp/098555780X The brainchild of Philip Slattery, "Slatt's Rescue Belt" is a clever application of a standard crochet. More popularly seen expanded and used as the means to create a rope doormat or scarf, the rescue belt is a slick way to create a shoulder strap, which can easily be undone to allow use of the rope that created it. Video by JD of Tying It All Together (TIAT).
