Paracord Fusion Ties – Volume 1: http://www.amazon.com/Paracord-Fusion-Ties-Volume-Bundles/dp/098555780X The Back-to-Back Feather bar is the first of a series of new fusion knots, catapulting off the insights gained by The Wrapture (paracord tie). Effectively a more complex version of the standard "Back to Back Solomon Bar" (a tie not yet shown in video format), the piece illustrates the versatility and multiple possibilities associated with the back-to-back tying technique. As I've said before, there are a multitude of knots/ties between the ones historically known, and this is only one of them. There are many more to come!
Paracord Fusion Ties – Volume 1: http://www.amazon.com/Paracord-Fusion-Ties-Volume-Bundles/dp/098555780X The Spectrally Clustered Crown Sinnet is a relatively easy way to add a clustered color orientation to a standard Crown Sinnet. Although the example shown demonstrates the tying technique with three colors, the tie can just as easily be made with four or even five colors, creating a cascading color effect like no other crown sinnet before. The Ashoka Chakra Knot is another fusion knot, created via a combination of techniques shown in my book (Decorative Fusion Knots) and others shown here, on my YouTube channel. Similar in appearance to one of the 33 edicts depicted on the pillars of King Ashoka (an ancient emperor from India); my hope is that this knot will help round out your knowledge of fusion knots and, more generally, symbolic sacred knots. Coming soon to Tying It All Together.
The Celtic tree of life symbolizes strength, longevity, and wisdom. It further marks the connection between earth, the spirit and the universe. Often portrayed in illustration, it's rarely if ever shown represented in rope…until now.
Paracord Fusion Ties – Volume 1: http://www.amazon.com/Paracord-Fusion-Ties-Volume-Bundles/dp/098555780X The brainchild of Philip Slattery, "Slatt's Rescue Belt" is a clever application of a standard crochet. More popularly seen expanded and used as the means to create a rope doormat or scarf, the rescue belt is a slick way to create a shoulder strap, which can easily be undone to allow use of the rope that created it. Paracord Fusion Ties – Volume 1: http://www.amazon.com/Paracord-Fusion-Ties-Volume-Bundles/dp/098555780X As a test to myself and a realization for others, I decided to see if/demonstrate I can produce a knot instruction video with one eye. As the following video shows, we (you and I) have nothing to worry about. The knot presented, the "Double Woven Globe Knot", is a response to those seeking a larger globe knot, while still using the TIAT globe knot tying method to create the piece.
