Paracord Fusion Ties – Volume 1: http://www.amazon.com/Paracord-Fusion-Ties-Volume-Bundles/dp/098555780X The Corset Spine is another variation on the Endless Falls tying technique. Generating a look similar to the lacing along the spine of a corset (thus the ties name), the Corset Spine generates a crisscrossed weaving pattern like no other fusion tie before. On account of its "elastic" structure, the tie has the additional benefit of not over tightening when wet, or when the wearer's wrist expands during a long days hike.

Paracord Fusion Ties – Volume 1: http://www.amazon.com/Paracord-Fusion-Ties-Volume-Bundles/dp/098555780X The Backbone Bar is the combination of alternating slip knots and the Single Genoese Bar. Together these two tying techniques fuse to create a bar that is both innovative and indicative of articulating vertebrae. Make a bracelet of the tie, or a strap, or a demonstration piece…the choice is yours. Video production by JD of Tying It All Together.

Paracord Fusion Ties – Volume 1: http://www.amazon.com/Paracord-Fusion-Ties-Volume-Bundles/dp/098555780X The Barnacle Knot is a slight modification of the Ashoka Chakra Knot. Integrating a series of alternating half hitches (or a series of larks heads), the knot takes on the tapered columnar look of Acorn Barnacles, common along the shores of California. Paracord Fusion Ties – Volume 1: http://www.amazon.com/Paracord-Fusion-Ties-Volume-Bundles/dp/098555780X The Surreal Solomon Bar Bracelet is a relatively easy way to make a lateral version of the Tire Tread Bar (with the ribs crossing in parallel to one another, rather than at a slant). A super sturdy and slick looking tie, it makes a great bracelet or strap (handle) for a bag. Above and beyond the bar's foundation look, it can also take on a variety of other appearances (just change up the over-under sequence to over-over, under-under, and so on…) Video production by J.D. The Harbin Heather Bar was inspired by Harbin Hot Springs (an oasis I routinely visit) and a dear friend of Kristen and I named Heather. The bar, like its inspirations, is a dance between comfort, elegance and engineering, presenting for the first time, a "splayed weave" technique I've been toying with for sometime now. In short, I've long considered the way (some) advanced weaves are presented as far too cumbersome and literal. That is, instructors tend to show a cord going exactly where the finished weave suggests it should be. However, I strongly believe my "splayed weave" technique, coupled with the weave's collapse, is a far more likely candidate for how many "complex" historical weaves were originally tied. Why do I believe this, you might ask? Because it's easier. *smile* Video production by J.D. Lenzen of Tying It All Together.
